1. Clean the surface of heavy dirt

If the application area is very dirty or covered with a thick layer of mud, remove these contaminants first. The product works best when it can directly contact the surface. You don't need to clean perfectly — just remove the main dirt.

2. Shake the can

Always shake the can well for a few seconds before use. This ensures even mixing of ingredients and optimal product performance.

3. Apply the product to the surface

Hold the can approximately 15–20 cm from the surface. Spray the area that requires lubrication, protection or cleaning. The applicator allows precise product application even in hard-to-reach places. You don't need to flood the surface — a thin layer is enough.

4. Wait for the product to penetrate

Give the product time to work. For light dirt or lubrication, 30–60 seconds is enough. If you're dealing with blocked bolts or heavy corrosion, wait 5–10 minutes to let the product penetrate deeply and dissolve deposits.

5. Wipe the surface or operate the mechanism

After waiting, wipe the surface with a clean microfiber cloth to remove excess product and dissolved dirt. If you're lubricating moving parts (e.g. hinges, joints), move them several times to distribute the product evenly.

Important

• Do not use on hot surfaces — application on a hot engine or exhaust system can be dangerous and reduce product effectiveness. Wait until components cool to room temperature.

• Avoid contact with brake discs — the product has lubricating properties, so do not apply it directly on discs and brake pads. This can reduce braking effectiveness. If you accidentally spray brakes, clean them thoroughly with a dedicated cleaner.

• Use in a well-ventilated area — aerosols contain solvents that are released into the air during application. Best used outdoors or in a garage with open doors.

• Keep away from fire sources — the product is flammable. Do not use near open flames, sparks or heated elements.

Tip

• Multiple applications increase protection — if you're protecting equipment before long-term storage, apply the product twice at 24-hour intervals. The first layer protects the surface, the second creates an additional protective barrier.

• Use in maintenance work — before lubricating the chain, first clean it with the product. It removes old lubricant and dirt, preparing the surface for fresh lube application. This increases lubrication effectiveness.

• Always keep in your backpack or pannier — a small can takes little space but can save you on the road. Sudden squeaking, blocked mechanism or moisture in electrics? The product solves the problem on the spot.

Can Multifunction Spray replace dedicated chain lubricant?

The product has lubricating properties and can be used for emergency chain lubrication, but it's not a dedicated solution for long-term drivetrain protection. Dedicated chain lubricants (like OC1 Chain Lube) are more adhesive, resistant to water washout and stay on the surface longer. Multifunction Spray works great for cleaning the chain before applying proper lubricant.

How often should I use the product on my motorcycle?

It depends on operating conditions. If you regularly ride in rain or wet terrain, apply the product after each such ride on electrical connections and metal elements. After washing the motorcycle — always. In other cases, applying every 2–3 weeks or when you notice squeaking or difficulties in mechanism operation is sufficient.

Can the product be used on plastic fairings?

Yes, the product is safe for plastics and doesn't cause discoloration or damage. However, its main purpose is metal elements. If you want to protect plastic fairings, better use a dedicated plastic protection product that additionally polishes the surface and provides color depth effect.

Can I safely tighten bolts after applying the product?

Yes, after releasing blocked bolts and cleaning the threads you can retighten them. The product doesn't negatively affect the strength of threaded connections. It's worth remembering that if a bolt was heavily corroded, it's better to replace it with a new one to avoid future problems.

How long does anti-corrosion protection last after application?

It depends on storage and operating conditions. In a dry garage, protection can last several months. If the motorcycle is used regularly and exposed to variable weather conditions, refreshing protection every 4–6 weeks is recommended. After each vehicle wash, reapplication on key metal elements is advisable.

Can I use the product to clean electrical connectors in phones or computers?

Although the product displaces moisture and cleans contacts, it's not designed for consumer electronics. For cleaning electronics, better use special products designed for audio/video equipment. For motorcycle and bicycle electronics (e.g. switches, connectors, contacts) the product works great.

How long does the product remain usable after opening?

With proper storage (dry place, temperature 5–25°C) the product maintains full effectiveness for several years after opening. If you notice the applicator is clogged, remove it, rinse in lacquer thinner or solvent and reattach.

Does the product leave greasy stains on clothing?

Yes, the product contains lubricating substances that can leave stains on clothing. We recommend wearing gloves and careful application to avoid accidentally spraying your clothes. In case of soiling, stains can be removed with standard detergents for greasy dirt.

Can I transport the product in motorcycle luggage while riding?

Yes, you can safely transport the product in panniers or cases. Just make sure the temperature in the luggage doesn't exceed 50°C (e.g. on hot summer days during long parking in the sun). Secure the can well so it doesn't rattle during riding and isn't accidentally damaged.

Can the product be used on bearings and joints?

Yes, the product works great for bearing and joint maintenance. It displaces moisture, lubricates and protects against corrosion. However, if a bearing requires heavy grease (e.g. in wheel hub, swing arms), better use dedicated grease that stays better in the application area and has higher lubricating properties.

What are the differences between Multifunction Spray and a dedicated penetrating product?

Multifunction Spray combines several functions in one product — it penetrates, lubricates, protects and displaces moisture. Dedicated penetrating products usually have stronger properties for releasing blocked connections but don't provide long-lasting protection. If you're dealing with very heavy corrosion cases, it's worth using a specialized penetrator first, then protecting the surface with Multifunction Spray.
