Can I use the OC1 towel on all surfaces?

Yes, the ultra-soft microfibre material is safe for all surfaces — from paintwork, through carbon and aluminium, to plastics, rubber and glass. It was designed with the most sensitive finishes in mind, so you can confidently use it even on freshly applied wax or ceramic coatings.

How often can I machine wash the towel?

The OC1 towel can be washed multiple times without losing quality. Key rules to follow: maximum temperature 40°C, delicate cycle, no fabric softener or bleach. With proper care, the towel will maintain its properties for a long time, offering excellent value for money.

Does the towel leave streaks on paintwork?

No, quite the opposite. OC1 split-fibre microfibre technology was created specifically to eliminate streaks and leave a crystal-clear surface. Unlike traditional cloths, microfibre leaves no fibres or residue, ensuring a professional finish.

How many times can I use the towel before washing?

This depends on the level of soiling and type of work being done. For light polishing or quick detailer application, you can use the towel several times, rotating to clean sections. For intensive wax removal or work with heavily soiled surfaces, wash the towel after each use to maintain its full effectiveness.

Can I use the towel for cleaning windows and visors?

Absolutely yes. OC1 microfibre works excellently for cleaning glass, polycarbonate and acrylic. High absorbency and lint-free properties make it ideal for cleaning helmet visors, goggle lenses or mirrors. Just remember to use a separate towel for glass to avoid transferring wax or polish residue.

What's the difference between the OC1 towel and standard cloths?

The OC1 towel stands out with higher GSM weight, split-fibre technology and super soft material. This provides much better absorbency, greater safety for delicate surfaces and no lint. Standard cloths often leave streaks, fibres and can cause micro-scratches, especially on freshly polished surfaces.

Can I use the towel for applying polishing compounds?

The OC1 towel is designed primarily for finishing and applying protective products (wax, sealants, quick detailers). For applying aggressive polishing compounds, dedicated applicators work better. However, for finishing polish work using gentle finishing compounds, microfibre will perform excellently.

At what temperature should I wash the towel?

Maximum recommended temperature is 40°C. Higher temperatures can damage the synthetic fibre structure and reduce durability. Always use a delicate cycle and avoid high-speed spinning. Best results are achieved by washing microfibre towels separately or with other microfibres.

Can I dry the towel in a tumble dryer?

Yes, but only on low heat and for a short time. However, it's best to air dry the towel naturally or gently in a dryer on a cool air setting. High temperatures can melt synthetic fibres and destroy the towel's properties.

Why can't I use fabric softener?

Fabric softeners and conditioners coat microfibre with a layer that drastically reduces absorbency and dirt-trapping ability. After several washes with softener, the towel will become practically useless. If you want microfibre to stay soft and absorbent, always skip the fabric softener.

Does the black colour of the towel have practical significance?

Yes, black colour has its advantages. Firstly, it's elegant and looks professional in the workshop. Secondly, it masks stains from dark waxes, polishing compounds or tyre dressings that look unsightly on light towels. Black microfibre looks cleaner longer between washes.
