The canister that lasts a season.
The 10-litre OC1 Bike Cleaner is the format for people who wash often — a workshop, a club, a garage with more than one machine. The same nanotechnology formula as the smaller canister, in a quantity that does not run out halfway through the season. Ready to use: nothing to dilute, nothing to measure, nothing to scrub.
One canister covers roughly 100 full vehicle washes, around 100 ml per wash. At two washes a week that carries a full racing season. It is safe on paint, carbon fibre, anodised aluminium and plastics, so a single product handles the bike, the MTB and the gear around them.
Washing only now and then? The 5-litre canister is the better fit. Running a team or a rental fleet? Take the 20-litre.
- Around 100 washes per canister
- Easy refilling of smaller bottles
- Nanotechnology formula, no brushing
- Safe on paint, carbon and anodised aluminium
- Proven by MXGP riders
OC1 Motorcycle Cleaner 950ml Previous
A clean machine in minutes, no scrubbing
Getting a motorcycle or a bike back to factory condition takes neither a workshop nor special tools. OC1 Bike Cleaner in the 10-litre canister performs the same in a home garage as it does behind the counter of a service centre. Ten litres is a reserve for people who wash their gear regularly, not once a year — around a hundred full washes from a single container, roughly 100 ml each.
The formula was developed alongside motocross world championship riders, among them Max Nagl, the German MXGP rider. The benchmark was extreme conditions: heavy mud, dried oil and insects after hundreds of kilometres on the road. A cleaner that passes on a world championship track has little to trip over in everyday use.
What this cleaner does differently
The difference is not one clever trick but three things at once: current chemistry, handling that needs no instructions, and care for components that have to survive several seasons.
- Nanotechnology in practice – the particles get underneath the layer of dirt and break it apart from below, which takes the brush out of the equation.
- No preparation – nothing to dilute and nothing to measure; open the canister and wash.
- Indifferent to components – carbon, anodised aluminium, pads, rotors, seals and cables come out of the wash untouched.
- Proven in competition – teams racing in MXGP use it, among them BUD Kawasaki, JK Racing Yamaha and Dream Team Fantic Racing.

Who this canister actually suits
The ten-litre OC1 Bike Cleaner is an option for anyone who wants their gear looked after without overpaying. You do not have to be a mechanic to reach for it, though workshops use it readily.
When you get on an off-road bike or an MTB more often than now and then, this is the canister for you. Instead of losing hours to scrubbing and risking scratches in the paint, you spray, wait a moment and rinse. The machine is back to its pre-ride state within minutes.
It works just as well for families whose bikes and motorcycles are there for recreation. Handling is simple enough for someone who has never held a spanner. Beyond the cleaner itself, water and a soft cloth are all it takes.
The ten-litre canister is also the natural choice for service centres and rental fleets, riding schools and sports clubs. A larger container means ordering less often and fewer breaks in the work, while the lower price per litre shows up in the cost of keeping a fleet running.
The moments you reach for it
The 10-litre canister covers a whole season — from an ordinary wash after a ride to getting the machine presentable before a start.
- After mud and hard terrain – when the machine comes back caked in mud, sand and dust, the cleaner dissolves even dried earth, and washing regularly extends component life by up to 50%.
- Before a start or a photo shoot – a few minutes are enough to make the gear look showroom-fresh; useful before races, before photos and before a sale.
- As a seasonal routine – a wash every two or three rides keeps the machine in shape, visually and mechanically.
- After long journeys – lifts insects, tar and the oily film picked up from asphalt.
- Before putting it away for winter – a machine stored clean wakes up in spring without rust taking hold and without perished rubber.

Why ten litres specifically
The 10 l format is the sensible middle ground between the 0.95 l bottle and industrial containers that start demanding shelf space of their own.
A single container covers roughly a hundred full washes of a motorcycle or a bicycle — with regular use that is a full season, often with some left over. A litre out of the big canister costs noticeably less than the same litre split into small bottles, and you stop having to check whether the supply will last the month.
The larger canister also tends to be the answer to professional needs. A workshop, a riding school, a coach's work or a garage with several machines in it — in each case the reserve matters. The cleaner can be decanted into smaller spray bottles or used straight from the dispenser.
Advanced chemistry, handling without a manual
This cleaner shows that effective chemistry need not be awkward to use. It brings together solutions drawn from nanotechnology with handling in which it is hard to go wrong.
The composition was built on current knowledge from the chemical industry. High-grade surfactants reach dirt at the level of molecules, while corrosion inhibitors leave a thin protective film behind. The machine ends up not only clean but less prone to dirt settling again and to moisture.
The product has been through the harshest trials that can be devised for a cleaning product. If it copes on the softened tracks of the world championship, where one training session turns a motorcycle into a lump of clay, household dirt is no challenge for it. Ready to use, indifferent to materials and efficient — the 10-litre canister pays for itself within a single season.

1. Rinse off what is loose
Start by hosing the whole machine down with clean water. Sand, grit and the bigger clods of mud come away first — left in place, they act like sandpaper on the paint during the wash. If the build-up is really thick, take the top layer off with a soft brush before you reach for the cleaner.
2. Apply the cleaner
Fill a spray bottle from the canister, or work straight from the dispenser. Cover the machine evenly — frame, wheels, chain, brakes, fairings and metal parts. Do not skip the places where dirt collects most: hubs, drivetrain and the underside of the frame.
3. Let it work
Give it 2–3 minutes. The formula soaks into the dirt and breaks it apart at molecular level. Dried mud and oil stains may need up to 5 minutes. Just do not let the product dry on the surface — mist it lightly with water if it starts to.
4. Rinse
Clean pressurised water is usually all it takes. Where dirt is unusually stubborn, pass over it with a soft sponge or brush, without pressing. Keep rinsing until every trace of cleaner and loosened dirt is gone, and check that water has drained from all the crevices.
5. Dry
Wipe the machine with a clean microfibre cloth, or leave it to dry in the shade somewhere with airflow. Once the surface is completely dry you can add OC1 Polish&Protect or OC1 Bike Shine for shine and extra protection.
Worth remembering
-
Never work on a hot surface. Warm paint causes streaking and makes the wash harder — wait until the machine has cooled.
-
You will get the best results between 15–25°C. Avoid full sun and freezing conditions.
-
Protect your eyes and skin. Rinse with plenty of water after contact. The product is safe for the vehicle but can irritate skin on prolonged contact.
-
Keep the canister at 5–25°C, dry and shaded, away from heat sources.
A tip from the workshop
Ten litres is a reserve you can decant from comfortably. Label your smaller bottles and keep them apart — one for bicycles, one for motorcycles. A third, half-litre bottle fits in a backpack for race day or a trip, where hauling the full canister makes no sense.
Wash after every ride in mud or rain, and every two or three rides in dry conditions. Consistency protects components far better than one big clean-up at the end of the season.
How many washes does a 10 l canister give?
Around a hundred complete motorcycle or bicycle washes, roughly 100 ml each. The exact figure depends on the size of the machine and how filthy it is. Light dust stretches further; a weekend in deep mud uses more. For someone washing regularly, one canister covers a full season, often longer.
Does it need diluting?
No. The product is ready to use at the strength it leaves the canister. Decant it into a spray bottle or work straight from the dispenser and start washing. Adding water only weakens it.
One 10 l canister or two 5 l ones?
The formula inside is identical, so it comes down to convenience. The 10-litre is one container instead of two, fewer reorders and easier refilling of smaller bottles. If you wash only occasionally and the product sits for months, the smaller canister is often the handier choice.
Will it harm disc brakes?
No. The formula leaves no oily residue that would reduce braking performance, so rotors and pads can be washed without concern. A rinse with water afterwards is all that is needed. That is exactly why MXGP teams use it — they wash the whole machine, braking system included.
What about carbon fibre?
Safe. The cleaner was developed with modern materials in mind. It does not disturb the fibre structure, dull the surface or affect mechanical properties. Carbon frames, bars, seatposts and wheels get washed like everything else.
Is it suitable for matte paint?
Yes. Nothing in the formula adds gloss or changes the texture of the surface. Matte stays matte — unlike cleaners that can leave a shiny film or discolouration.
Will it damage seals, cables and rubber?
No. The formula is pH neutral, so elastomers, covers and cables come through untouched. Unlike aggressive detergents or petrol it does not dry rubber out or make it crack. You can wash the whole machine, suspension, brakes and drivetrain included.
How often should I wash?
After mud, rain and hard off-road, wash after every ride. In dry conditions every two or three rides is enough. Regular cleaning extends component life by up to 50% and prevents corrosion, so more often beats less often. The cleaner is safe, there is no reason to hold back.
Do I need separate protection afterwards?
Usually not. The cleaner carries corrosion inhibitors that leave a thin protective film on the surface, and for most uses that is enough.
Does it work in the cold?
It performs best at 15–25°C. Below that it works more slowly — extend the dwell time to 5 minutes. In freezing conditions, leave it: water ices up on the surface and the wash stops making sense. If you must clean in winter, do it in a heated garage above 5°C.
Where should the 10 l canister be kept?
At 5–25°C, dry, shaded and away from heat sources. No freezing, no direct sun. A garage, storeroom or workshop cabinet is ideal. Once opened, tighten the cap properly — otherwise you risk drying out or spillage.
Can I clean a helmet with it?
The shell yes, the visor better not — OC1 Lens Cleaner is made for that, with an antistatic formula that leaves no streaks. On the shell, spray, wait briefly, rinse with water and wipe with a soft cloth. Do not soak visors with anti-fog coatings.
Does it smell bad?
No. The scent is best described as "teflon" — neither strong nor unpleasant, and nothing lingers on the machine after rinsing. For your own comfort, still work outdoors or somewhere with airflow.
